Farhan Akhtar
Farhan Akhtar is an actor, director and screenwriter who was born in Mumbai. He’s of Indian origins and his parents are script writers Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. After a lot of people tried convincing him that he should pursue acting as a career, he finally became interested in the field since it all started with theatre performances. Some of the Hindi movies he has starred in include Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Lakshya (2004), Om Shanti Om (2007), Rock On!! (2008) and Don 2(2011). He has recently directed Gully Boy which won many filmfare awards including the best direction, best actress.
